Do foreign criminals know its a felony to re-enter the United States illegally after being deported?

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

4 ex-cons indicted in Minneapolis on immigration violations

Four Mexican men with previous felony convictions were indicted this week in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis for allegedly re-entering the United States after being deported.

Two of the men lived in Minnesota, and all were found through Immigration and Customs Enforcement initiatives, which locate criminal illegal immigrants inside and outside the U.S. prison system. If found guilty, the four men all face up to 20 years in prison.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Jose Edel Godinez-Valdovinos, 29, of Fridley, was found Oct. 15. He was deported in 2003 after he was convicted of delivering methamphetamine in Washington state.

Daniel Pizana-Reyna, 29, of Chaska, was found Oct. 22, federal prosecutors said. He was deported in 2001 after being convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct in Minnesota.

Hector Campos-Arizpe, 32, whose last address is unknown, was found March 6, the prosecutors said. He was deported in 2005 after an aggravated criminal sexual conduct conviction in illinois.

Oscar Omar Perez-Torres, 36, whose last address is unknown, was found Oct. 22, prosecutors said.

He had been deported after an illegal entry conviction in Minnesota and a drug conviction in Nebraska.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, non-U.S. citizens make up almost 27 percent of the inmate population in U.S. federal prisons. Almost 18 percent of federal prison inmates are Mexican citizens.

United States after deportation will face prosecution for the flagrant disregard of our immigration laws," said Scott Baniecke, field office director for the ICE Office of Detention and Removal in Bloomington, according to a news release.

ICE arrested nearly 16,000 criminal illegal immigrants nationwide and deported about 136,000 illegal immigrants in fiscal year 2009.

How deep on average is the Illinois river? How deep is the deepest spot on the Illinois river?

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

What about the Mississippi river? Is it alot deeper than the Illinois? I live between both rivers and was just curious.

The average depth along the Illinois River is about 23 feet. This level is artificially maintained by a series of dams and basins along the river. It’s reported that a depth of over 60 feet has been record in one of these basin areas and is most likely the deepest part of the illinois River.

A number of canals make the Illinois commercial navigable from Lake Michigan to the Mississippi River.

What’s amazing about the Mississippi is that at its head waters the depth is around three feet, but as it passes through New Orleans it reaches depths of 200 feet!

Odd little tidbit: Geologists think the Illinois river was formed in a matter of days when the Wisconsin Glacier went through a rapid melt off 10,000 years ago!

Pretty cool….

Illinois Scotts Law..challenge?

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Has any one challenged that law and won without having to hire a attorney to do so?

I got a ticket for that over the week end and I don’t think it was justified, as I didn’t endanger any officer because I didn’t changes when they were in the emergency lane..by the time I saw them, I couldn’t change lanes but slowed down before I passed in my lane. But a trailing highway patrolman pulled me over for a ticket any way..that law I understand but I do not feel should be ticketed for unless a driver not just not changing lanes actually does something to endanger a officer.
Sorry this "I didn’t changes when they were in the emergency lane..by the time I saw them"

Should have read " I didn’t make the lane change when he was in the emergency lane because by the time time I saw him"

I don’t know about illinois, but, in Oregon you will get a ticket if you don’t move over. They will bust you here also. No excuses.

What’s exactly in the Bill Ayers papers released by U of Illinois about Obama on his payroll?

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

Tonight’s news reported some U of illinois papers released last week about how Ayers paid Obama to distribution $50 million to ACORN and Chicago groups who indoctrinated children to defy government authority? The said the papers show a close financial relationship for the purpose of spreading radical anti-authority ideals in Obama’s community organizer drives. What are those papers and why did the Univ have them, but not release them till now?

The papers were the minutes of board meetings, and other internal documents of the Annenberg Challenge.

The link below is to an article written by Stanley Kurtz. The Obama campaign vilifies this guy, either accurately or not, I don’t know. The article details why UIC had the documents, and why they were not released.

Edit: libs with the ‘Keating 5′ chants don’t want the Bill Ayers relationship vetted. The Keating issues have been vetted for years.

What do you think of Obama’s comments on White Sox and Cub Fans?

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

Obama, a Southsider, was asked by ESPN’s Stuart Scott what would happen if both the Cubs and the White Sox made it to the World Series.

"I would be going,” Obama said.

"Who would you root for?” Scott asked.

"Oh, that’s easy,” Obama replied. "White Sox.

"I’m not one of these fair weather fans,” the junior senator from illinois and presumptive presidential nominee of the Democratic Party explained. "You go to Wrigley Field, you have a beer, beautiful people up there. People aren’t watching the game. It’s not serious. White Sox, that’s baseball. Southside."

I don’t care if he likes the Sox over my Cubs but, was a little disappointed that he had to spout off uneducated Cubs bashing that most Sox fans do. Sox fan is jealous of the following / attention the Cubs get & this is their only response. Cubs fan may enjoy Old Style but they know more about their team & farms than most fans.

his comments won’t sway my voting
