ok so if you go to court for a traffic ticket and the officer doesn’t show up does the ticket have to be dropped, i know that’s the way it is in scott county iowa but idk about rock island, i went to court today and the officer didn’t show up for the court date, but they didn’t drop the charges, please tell me if i need to call them and argue about this
i am fighting the charges because they are bogus, i plead not guilty, so i had to schedule a court date, so i show up to court and the cop never showed up

my brother is in the air force and is stationed at scott air force base illinois. i live in connecticut. i want to send him a bulk pack of waffles (144ct) but dont know if thats ok because they are frozen…. can he refreeze them once they thaw??

An illegal immigrant is behind bars charged with identity theft.

35 year old Tixtha Martinez has been residing in Morton. She was arrested Wednesday on three counts of identity theft.

Martinez is accused of opening loans at the Central Mississippi Federal Credit Union using a stolen identity. The victims were from illinois and contacted the Mississippi Attorney General’s office to report the crime.

Martinez is being held in the Scott County jail. Her bond is set at 75-thousand dollars.

Not an illegal supporter here but I’d guess they would say "That illegal didn’t do it they were just blamed for it because of their race" or some other such nonsense.

I am researching my relatives and found several illinois census records with DO as the occupation. I have no idea what this means. It is listed under hundreds of head of households. I searched for the abbreviations but found nothing with DO. Help Please!

"Do" was an old way to write "Same as above". I’d bet large sums at long odds they were all farmers. You also see it in birthplaces, when everyone on the page is born in the same state.

I moved to Iowa from Oregon in late 2008. I do know where to start asking questions (Illinois DNR), and I have their phone number[s]. But, heck, I thought, someone on Yahoo! answers will probably be able to guide me in the right direction. I have several weapons, a couple of .22 rifles, a 12-guage shotgun, and a Winchester model 1917 30.06 that I’d prefer not to use since it’s from WWI and is a relic, and worth some money and I don’t want to F it up by accidently jamming it or whatever. Plus, I don’t see the need to put that kind of firepower into a turkey. I haven’t been turkey hunting in Illinois since I was a young’n and I don’t remember anything because we went with my uncle and he took care of all the legal stuff. I don’t want to take my bird in Iowa (where I live) because the state requires the prerequisite of a hunter safety course, whilst illinois doesn’t (over a certain age, and I’m 30). So, I’m willing to pay the extra $ for the tag or hunting permit or whatever is required unless I do the math VS. Iowa and my home state turns out to be cheaper. Now. I live in Scott County Iowa and I’d like to take my bird in Rock Island or Mercer county in Illinois. Does anyone have ANY advice, detailed or just a point-in-the-right-direction for how and what I do next. I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve accompanied my friend (who always lives out west and shoots anything he wants, back to his home state of PA for several poaching trips. I’ve made the promise to myself, the Commonwealth of PA, as well as all the other states, and mother nature to never poach again. It is not good for the environment and the monies are not collected for the preservation and restoration of our beloved natural areas. Oh, I can’t use a compound bow to hunt because of I’m dis-abled because of a motorcycle accident (of course, like most, it was not my fault). I got a ticket for that over the week end and I don’t think it was justified, as I didn’t endanger any officer because I didn’t changes when they were in the emergency lane..by the time I saw them, I couldn’t change lanes but slowed down before I passed in my lane. But a trailing highway patrolman pulled me over for a ticket any way..that law I understand but I do not feel should be ticketed for unless a driver not just not changing lanes actually does something to endanger a officer.

I don’t know about illinois, but, in Oregon you will get a ticket if you don’t move over. They will bust you here also. No excuses.

name of Peterson. His missing wife is named Stacy. Lacy is the name of the pregnant CA. woman apparently murdered by her husband Scott. Both of these men appear to be cocky womanizers who lack consciences. Is this a strange coincidence or what? If convicted, perhaps they’ll toss the older man in with Scott so they can compare notes. And fight over love letters sent to them in prison, which is usual with this type of criminal.

Admittedly, this is not an uncommon last name but even so, it is a bizarre coincidence that two recent high-profile cases involved men with that last name who are suspected in their wife’s disappearance. Neither showed any concern about their wives and neither participated in any searches for them. It would be even stranger if Stacy’s body had been dumped into a body of water and weighted down with cement, like Laci’s was.

Scott air force base is nearby. Maybe it is a new test vehicle or something. It was huge, low-flying, and silent. Perhaps it’s a surveilance aircraft of some sorts. It was freaky and no way am I making a report. I think UFO hunters are wackos!
