How do I go about shutting down a news paper that seems to be too dirty for the public?
There is a questionable news paper running around the campasses of illinois and indiana and I have reason to belive it is too pornographic content for its purpose.

You orchestrate a boycott of all businesses which advertise in it.
Let me know if any media outlets support your cause, so I can orchestrate a boycott of any business which advertises in them.
Then someone who’s offended by my efforts can boycott MY supporters.
And so it goes…
Isn’t it easier to just not read things which offend you? How about you just read your kind of stuff and let others read theirs?
Oh, and read Fahrenheit 451, too.

if its a public paper or if someone is putting it out themselves, i dont think you can. the point is, what you may think is pornographic someone else may see as literature. freedom of the press. its not slandering you so just realize its all about perspective.

I would like to know what gives you the right to decide what is pornographic or not. If some one does not like what they print / sell then they have the choice not to look at it. It’s not you place to decide for them.

If it’s too "dirty" for the public, then no one will buy it or read it and it will go out of business by itself.
I think what you mean is that it is too dirty for YOU and YOU don’t think others should even have the choice of reading things that offend YOU, and so YOUR solution is to try to force YOUR standards and morals on others.
So, if you want to shut down that paper, then the proper way would be to convince those who are reading it just how terrible and morally reprehensible it is. If you are successful enough and can convince enough of them it will fold and YOUR little corner of the world will have been conformed to YOUR ideas of the way things should be and YOU can identify the next thing out there that offends YOUR sensabilities and begin YOUR war against it.

Don’t buy it, without your support they will have to go out of business because of lack of funds.
You can try contacting the school, but if they are allowing it then they have decided it is OK.
So. . .what is the reason you think it is too pornographic? It either is or it isn’t, unless you know your opinion is based on your being a prude. Remember, even Hustler is not too pornographic, it just isn’t sold to children.
