If I ordered Direct tv and I live in Illinois would I be able to watch local channels in Florida?

I live in illinois but like to watch the news and local channels in Florida where I used to live. If I switch to Direct TV will I be able to get access to those channels? If not is there a way I could pay extra a month to get them?

Sorry, you can’t get local Florida channels in Illinois, no matter what you pay.

No you won’t be able to watch Florida locals in Illinois. The FCC (federal communications commision) won’t allow it. No company is allowed to do that nowadays.

The only people that can get locals from an area other than thier own are people who have no other options but even then they must be approved by the fcc and they can not pick where they come from.

However, if you want florida sports in illinois that is possible. For expample if you a a huge miami dolphins fan you can get the NFL Sunday ticket which will allow you to see virtually all of thier games.
