Are Democrats purposely trying to lose the Illinois Governorship?
Scott Lee Cohen, the winner of the Democratic primary for Illinois lieutenant governor, says he will not step down despite a past checkered with a number of unsavory issues.
His estranged wife accused him of steroid use and angry outbursts and sought an order of protection. His girlfriend who later pleaded guilty to prostitution claimed he held a knife to her throat. But Cohen says those mistakes are all in the past.

Our Previous Governor is Rod Blago, who has been indicted.
Before Blago, that governor is currently in prison.

Lt governor?
You are worried about Lt Governor?
most people don’t even bother thinking about Lt Governor until they have to decide whether to keep him or toss him out after he takes over for the big G.
I am more worried about keeping Republicans that are all talking about cutting more jobs to balance a budget that has shortfalls created by a gas tax holiday.

No. The party and the Governor is stuck with the Lt. Gov he gets in the primary. Adlai Stevenson quit the Democratic party and ran under another party rather than let a LaRouche guy become Lt. Gov. Maybe Quinn will do the same.

There is a way out for Pat Quinn. He can withdraw as a democrat candidate and run as an independent candidate with the democrat committee people placed in a dud. If Pat wins, he can become a democrat again.
